About Katharina Grosse

Katharina Grosse studied with Gotthard Graubner; without a doubt, she is one of the German female artist stars of our time. Grosse's works are always multi-coloured, she usually applies the paint with a spray gun. The artist is intensively concerned with art history - both colour field and landscape painting as well as land art, inspire her colourful installation works. Grosse explained that "colour has the potential to transform materials because it shifts the imagination".
