About Selcuk Dizlek
Selcuk Dizlek studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg. He became a master student in 2000. Most recently, the Kunsthalle Schweinfurt dedicated the solo exhibition "in flux: LinieRaumLicht" to him.
In Dizlek's work, the traditional boundaries between sculpture, installation, painting, collage and Op Art seem to blur.
The curved Plexiglas panels move through the space in a mostly radiantly luminous coloring. You can tell from Dizlek's works that the artist has a pronounced penchant for material, which he then tames and transforms into aesthetic objects.
Contemporary art created from objects that are not normally considered materials from which art is made.
Object art was a means of expression of Cubism, Dadaism and Surrealism, and in the course of their development to the present day had spawned various presentation techniques.
A plastic work of sculptural art made of wood, stone, ivory, bronze or other metals.
While sculptures from wood, ivory or stone are made directly from the block of material, in bronze casting a working model is prepared at first. Usually, it is made of clay or other easily mouldable materials.
The prime time of sculpture after the Greek and Roman antiquity was the Renaissance. Impressionism gave a new impulse to the sculptural arts. Contemporary artists such as Jorg Immendorf, Andora, and Markus Lupertz also enriched sculptures with outstanding works.
