Authenticity guarantee

We want your art purchase to remain a carefree experience for you. Therefore, we give you an authenticity guarantee. Works of art that you purchase at ARTES are carefully checked for origin, authenticity, and condition.

For unique works, we provide certificates of origin and appraisals upon request. For original graphics and ARTES proprietary editions, you will receive a certificate documenting the authenticity of the artwork.

Return guarantee

Our special service includes a unique return guarantee. Kunsthaus ARTES will take back every delivered work of art within three years at the full purchase price plus a 10% increase in value if it should turn out that the value-determining information is incorrect.

This means that you can purchase your favourite artwork from us with complete peace of mind; the risk of a misjudgement lies entirely with us. In addition, this guarantee requires us to double and triple-check the offered works in case of doubt.

Transparent Prices

ARTES displays prices. If you inform yourself about a work of art on our website, you will usually also find the full sales price including the respective tax.
No additional taxes or surcharges will be added later.

All stated prices correspond to the actual final amount to be paid.

When you order a work of art from ARTES, you will receive an order confirmation promptly and will always be informed about the current status of your order.

Free viewing at your home

You found a painting or sculpture on our site or in one of our catalogs, but you are not sure yet if it is the right artwork for you? Order your object of desire free of charge for viewing at your home. You will then have two weeks to view the work at your leisure and let it take effect on you.

An art purchase is always something very personal. Therefore, we will be happy to come to your home or office by appointment and bring you one or more works to view.

You can then take your time to consult with us and take a close look at the works of art. This service is of course free of charge.

Secure Payment

by invoice, direct debit, or credit card

Upon delivery of the artwork, you will receive the invoice and the certificate of authenticity. Payment is then made within 14 days after receipt. You can choose the convenient method of direct debit. Until full payment has been received, the goods remain the property of ARTES Kunsthandelsgesellschaft mbH, Hanover.

For deliveries abroad, the artwork will be shipped immediately after receipt of payment.

Or pay conveniently and securely by credit card (Visa, Master, American Express).

Partial financing of your art purchase

Starting at an order value of €2,500, combined with a 30% down payment, ARTES offers partial financing for artworks.

All prices are EURO final prices including the currently valid VAT. In case of legal changes of the value-added tax, we reserve the right to adjust the EURO final prices accordingly.

No Small Print

The offer is subject to change. Delivery only while stocks last. Delivery will be made in the order in which orders are received.

If a work of art is out of stock or sold out, subsequent delivery is not possible. We will be pleased to make you an alternative offer.

We store your address and order-related data for business transactions and customer relationship management purposes. All data is treated as strictly confidential in accordance with the Federal Data Protection Act. You will regularly receive our product offers. We only pass on the addresses of our customers for credit assessment purposes and to carefully selected companies whose products may be of interest to you.
