Dr. oec. HSG Max-Georg Büchner

Managing Director

Business Administration in St. Gallen, followed by doctoral studies. After working in Hamburg and St. Gallen, he became the Managing Director of ARTES.

Maximilian Engelmann

Business Manager

German Literature and Media Studies as well as Cultural Management in Hanover and Vienna. Previously worked at the Haus am Waldsee in Berlin, the Kestnergesellschaft Hannover, and the SCHIRN Kunsthalle Frankfurt, before working at ARTES.

Michelle Matschke

Member of the Executive Board / Catalogue / Cooperations

Cultural Studies and Business Administration in Mainz, specializing in marketing. Previously worked for PR and communications agencies before joining ARTES.

Hendrik Bartels

Arts Consulting

Business Administration and Cultural Management in Bremen. Previously worked at MoMA PS1 in New York, the Berlin Biennale, the KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin, and most recently at Marta Herford.

Marie-Luise Dulias

Art Consulting / Art Valuation

Art History and Classical Archaeology in Würzburg. After working for several years at a well-known auction house in northern Germany, she joined ARTES in the autumn of 2020.


Anke Reich

Kunstberatung / Kunstbewertung

Masterstudium Kunst- und Designwissenschaft in Essen. Sie arbeitete als Kunsthistorikerin in einem namhaften Auktionshaus im Ruhrgebiet und war zuletzt bei einem Kunsthandelsunternehmen in Norddeutschland beschäftigt.

Maximilian Hartwich

ARTES Berlin / Editorial Office / Provenance Research

Art History, Architectural Studies and Humanities in Dresden and Milan. Previously worked at the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden, the Künstlerhaus Bethanien in Berlin, and various galleries.


Lucie Klysch 

ARTES Berlin

Art History, German Studies and Curatorial Studies in Dresden, Vienna and Leipzig. 
After holding positions at the Albertinum Dresden, in cultural sociological research 
and the curatorial department at the TU Dresden, she most recently worked for the Conference of Ministers of Culture in Berlin.


Michaela Bethke

Customer Service

Management assistant in wholesale and foreign trade with many years of experience in the high-end consumer sector and art segment. At ARTES she is responsible for customer service.


Norbert Kirbach

Online Shop / Editing

European and East Asian Art History in Berlin. After working for contemporary galleries and spending several years in Beijing/China, he joined ARTES.




Jan Vermeulen

Art Consulting / Benelux / English Service

Studies in Economics and Art History in Göttingen and Nijmegen (NL). After working in auction houses, he most recently worked as a project manager for a listed art trading company.


Maren Bianca Brinkmann

Purchasing / Product Management

Management assistant in wholesale and foreign trade and further training as a specialist in purchasing and materials management. She actively supports the company in administrative and organisational work in the back office.


Jörg Lorenz

Graphic Design / Production

After studying graphic design, he worked as an art director in various advertising agencies. Since 2015, he has been responsible for the design of the ARTES catalogues, magazines, and online elements.


Elke Exner


Elke Exner has been responsible for logistics at ARTES since 1993 and actively ensures that your ordered work of art arrives carefully packed, punctually, and safely.
