Tim Rogerson

Tim Rogerson began his artistic career at Disney, where he was one of the last artists to be trained by Disney legend Ralph Kent ("The Keeper of the Mouse"). Rogerson studied illustration at the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, USA.

About his art, Rogerson himself says: "My father taught me how to draw Mickey when I was five years old, and I wanted to be a Disney artist ever since. I was hooked. My two favorite characters were Mickey Mouse and Spider-Man. It's so incredible that I can still draw them, but now as a professional. What a life!"

His style is characterized by breaking down the composition into simple shapes, with each shape having its own color palette - it's a color puzzle that makes a picture.

Tim Rogerson was awarded the title of Official Artist of the Olympic Winter Team (2006) and Official Artist of Disney's D23 Expo (2009)

The artist lives and works in North Carolina, USA.
