Leunora Salihu

Leunora Salihu (*1977 in Prishtina, Kosovo) combines various materials such as ceramics, wood and metal in her sculptures. Her sculptures, spatial bodies and installations explore the possibilities and limits of movement through the repetition of organic and constructive formal elements.

After migrating to Germany in 1999, Salihu studied at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts in Kiel and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Düsseldorf. Since then, she has received several awards and has been represented in a number of group exhibitions such as The National Gallery of Kosovo, Temporary Art Centre, Eindhoven, Museum Kunstpalast Düsseldorf and Kunstraum Düsseldorf. She has also had solo exhibitions at the Lehmbruck Museum in Duisburg, the Skulpturenpark Waldfrieden in Wuppertal and the K21 Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen. 

Leunora Salihu lives and works in Düsseldorf.
