Picture "Forever (small)" (2020)
The artwork "Forever" shows bright, colour-intensive details from the series of works "Cherry Blossom Paintings". They feature art historical references to Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh and the pointillist works of Georges Seurat.
All proceeds from the editions will go to Save the Children's Italian campaign "Riscriviamo il futuro" ("Rewriting the Future"), which supports Italian children raised in disadvantaged circumstances who were affected by school closures during the COVID-19 pandemic.

About Damien Hirst
Damien Hirst has made his persona into a brand – in fact, an extremely successful one. Today, the painter and sculptor is one of the most internationally renowned contemporary artists, he regularly exhibits in the world's important art houses and collectors sometimes pay astronomically high prices for his works.
He secured the public's attention at the latest with spectacular and provocative installations such as the animal cadavers preserved in formaldehyde. He has also kept himself in the (art) news with equally spectacular works, such as a skull set with 8,601 diamonds.
Hirst worked hard for his success. He was born in Bristol in 1965 and grew up in rather poor circumstances. He studied at Goldsmiths College in London from 1986 to 1989, organised the exhibition "Freeze" in 1988, which is considered the birth of the "Young British Artists", and received the renowned Turner Prize in 1995.
Term for paintings and sculptures that are detached from the representational depiction, which spread throughout the entire western and parts of the eastern world from around 1910 onwards in ever new stylistic variations. The Russian painter Wassily Kandinsky, born in 1866, is considered the founder of abstract art. Other important artists of abstract art are K.S. Malewitsch, Piet Mondrian, and others.

Giclée = derived from the French verb gicler "to squirt, spurt".
The giclée method is a digital printing process. It is a high-resolution, large-format printout on an inkjet printer with special different-coloured dye- or pigment-based inks (usually six to twelve). The colours are fade-proof, i.e. resistant to harmful UV light. They have a high richness of nuance, contrast and saturation.
The giclée process is suitable for art canvases, handmade and watercolour paper as well as for silk.
