The human being is full of contradictory traits, desires, thoughts, and feelings. These oppositions are also reflected in art, human representations, and their interpretation.
The exhibition examines the diversity of emotions in the depictions of human bodies and portraits in contemporary art.
Works by artists such as Stephan Balkenhol, Georg Baselitz, Tony Cragg, Helge Leiberg, Markus Lüpertz, A. R. Penck, Cornelia Schleime, Edward B. Gordon, Karoline Kroiß, Justine Otto, Edvardas Racevicius, Hannes Uhlenhaut and Dagmar Vogt, among others, were shown.
