The Oberschwaben Art Prize, which has been awarded since 1951, is one of the most traditional and most highly endowed German art prizes.

This year, among others, the painter Isa Dahl and the painter and sculptor Willi Siber were awarded in recognition of their complete works.

Isa Dahl

For Isa Dahl it is already the second time that she receives this award. Already in 1997 she was awarded with the associated promotion prize for young artists. According to this year's jury, her extensive painting oeuvre gives Isa Dahl a significant exceptional position in the art scene.

Isa Dahl creates paintings with profound spaces, filled with her own luminous light, painting between agitation and tranquility.

Willi Siber

According to the jury, Willi Siber is "one of the most creative artists of his generation". The range of expressive forms he has developed "are unparalleled in current art production."

As a master student, Willi Siber completed his studies in sculpture at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart in 1976 and is now a sought-after artist whose objects can be seen in galleries and museums worldwide.

The examination of the fundamentals of sensual perception, optical and haptic perception, the experience of form, surface, matter and space are the core of his entire artistic work by Willi Siber.

Congratulations to the award winners. ARTES has been working with both artists for many years. Discover works by Isa Dahl and Willi Siber in our shop:
