Miro, Chagall, Picasso in Paris

Miró, Chagall, Picasso, Dalí, Braque: all these artists made Paris their home in the early 20th century. Probably no other city stands for the art of Classical Modernism as much as the metropolis on the Seine. Paris developed into a center of printmaking during this period. Publishers such as Aimé Maeght, among others, promoted the production of lithographs, woodcuts and etchings, with which the artists reached a wide audience. Today, these prints are coveted collector's items.

In the show "Made in Paris - Chagall, Matisse, Miró", the Museum Folkwang in Essen is currently presenting original prints by the Parisian artists. Among them are works by Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró and Marc Chagall.
